Northwest Chinese Cultural Association (NWCCA) is a registered WA Non-Profit organization. NWCCA was originated by a few early settlers in Bellingham in 1999 and has continued to grow. NWCCA organization is non-profit and non-political. Our objective is to promote and to encourage friendship among individuals who are interested in Chinese culture. To accomplish this objective, the organization organizes and promotes activities related to Chinese culture, including Chinese New Year's Party and Summer Picnic. Members of this organization consists of individuals who are interested in the Chinese culture and who have paid the annual membership fees. The board of directors of NWCCA consists of up to 11 members who are elected by general memberships and have a term of two years. The Officers of NWCCA include the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. The Board decides these Officers out of its membership. The Board is self-perpetuating. Vacancies, when they occur, shall be filled by a majority vote of the existing Board members. The Board is responsible for managing and organizing the general affairs of the organization. The Budget of the organization must be approved by the Board. The disbursements of funds shall be by checks signed by two out of four signatories authorized by resolutions of the Board of Directors. The President shall preside at all meetings of the Board of Directors. In the event of his/her absence, such responsibility will be discharged by the Vice President or the Secretary.
